Wednesday night we headed to downtown Napier for a dinner with friends we made at the LAX airport. We met them while on our long layover, waiting on our 13-hour Air NZ flight. Michelle, Darren, Hannah & Daniel (7-year old twins) were so friendly and kind and we loved chatting with them about New Zealand. They taught us kiwi words and phrases and we got our first taste of the NZ accent. :) The Brown's were on their way home from their holiday in the States. We enjoyed hearing about their American adventures! We've been so fortunate to stay in touch with them and to have set up a time to meet and see each other again. The kids took to each other quickly and had a blast playing together. Ben and I enjoyed catching up with Michelle and Darren, both school teachers in Hastings. We are now on to planning a weekend in Wellington before we leave! Thank you for a wonderful evening, Brown family!
