Holiday

We are enjoying a nice holiday between term 3 and term 4. It's so nice to have a break from school and just chill out. We've hung out at home, gone to the library, ran errands to the mall and grocery store, celebrated Calvin's birthday and traveled to Wellington to play at Te Papa Museum. (I drove all by myself downtown...in the rain...to the museum! I'm such a local now! :)

The kids love gathering sticks on the beach to build forts.

Running through the sea grass to catch up with the big sibs.

Three little monkeys...looking for trouble...

Drawing ghosts...they taped them all over the place to scare off the bad guys.

Big boy - 5 years old!

Silly face!

I love this pic...Caroline is having a little seat and watching Calvin and MaeMae draw with sidewalk chalk.

A rainbow they drew together!

A trail through our "secret garden".

"Let's go this way, guys!"

So sweet...I got a good one of them, finally, sitting on this wooden swing in our garden.

Caroline has found lollies...and loves them!

Calvin and Grandma saying "Happy Birthday" to each other! Grandma's birthday was Sept. 28 and Calvin's was Sept. 29 and because of the time difference they were able to wish each other a happy birthday at the same time. (at this time, it was about 8 or 9pm in SC and 1pm or 2pm in NZ) This will never happen again in our lifetime so it was a really cool moment in time.

Birthday dinner: cheese pizza and cupcakes!

Te Papa Museum wore Caroline out!

The playcenters are so fun and they got to make beaded necklaces today.
