Mary Katherine had her ballet session and actual recital last week. She wasn't feeling well but was such a trooper at both. They were all adorable, just precious in their new tutus. The recital practice and actual day were looonnnggg but the girls made it through both. For practice they were at the theater for 4 hours, I believe it was and 7 hours on Saturday for the actual recital. Full on but they loved it!
MaeMae with her kindy buddies...Lily-Jean, Phoebe & Maisie.
The recital had 2 segments with a 15-minute interval. The 1st segment consisted of the older ballerinas and 4 lovely dance numbers, one of which was "A Journey through America"...got me all nostalgic. :) The 2nd segment was "The Magic Toyshop" and had children (older ballerinas) finding this magic toyshop and all the goodies inside: UFO's, teddy bears, catepillars, Angelina ballerinas (MaeMae's group), Cat in the Hat, dragons, poodles, dalmatians, princesses & knights, Raggedy Ann & Andy, Pippi Longstockings, fairies and tarantellas (tamborine dancers). It was very cute and well done.
