Last few days...
It's been a very productive few days...
House to rent - CHECK!
Car - CHECK!
Beds for the kids - CHECK!
Power & Internet/Phone Set-Up - CHECK!
The weather has been rainy and windy but still have managed to get out and get 'er done! :) Below is a pic of our new house key (it's over 100 years old thus the skeleton key :), hotel from the museum across the street and a view of the harbor today in the rain.
Fun picture of Caroline 'representin'! Go Hoos! :)
This is a picture I couldn't move below to the museum pics...it's the heart of a blue whale! Crazy!
Yesterday and today we checked out the Te Papa National Museum. It's amazing, entertaining and FREE! The kids had a blast exploring the 4 Discovery Centres, seeing the Colossal Squid and native animals to NZ and learning about the fact we are in the Ring of Fire and earthquake zone. Oh joy!
The Pacific Ring of Fire (or sometimes just the Ring of Fire) is an area where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. About 90% of the world's earthquakes and 80% of the world's largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. SWEET!
Dear Sherry and family, We were so excited to read your blog...you have done a super job. We enjoyed all the antics of the kids.... it sounds like our GRANDS too. We know you all will have the experience of a lifetime and we just pray God will be with you and bless you and protect you all. We love you all. Andy and Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to be able to follow your journey on the other side of the world. I love seeing places that I hope to someday travel. Before we know it you'll be back here in the states. Best wishes to you all.
