On Sunday, Mary Katherine's kindy had a fun fundraiser to raise money for a kindy in Christchurch. They raised over $2300!! It's great that these sweet little kids raised all that money for such a wonderful cause. (Well, the mums helped a little!)
Thank you Grandma Jean, Faith Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler and Mom & Dad for donating to MaeMae's collection! She was so happy and excited to have so many supporters. The day was so fun with heaps of bikes, trikes and scooters, a nice sausage sizzle and homemade lemonade, served up by yours truly. :)
Another fabulous weekend full of fun and amazing weather!
Mary Katherine's "Rider" License - how cute is that!
Caroline couldn't be contained on the playground. The Wheel-A-Thon was held at Calvin's school since they have a huge playground and paved surface.
Up we go on the bouncy castle!
Havin' the time of our lives!
Servin' up the lemonade with my friend, Jackie. A bunch of mums made batches of fresh lemonade concentrate and we added water the day of the event. Great idea!
Gotta...have...a...drink...and...get...back...to...playing...
On your mark!
Get Set!
GO!!
The racecourse was a chalk-drawn maze around the pavement. Too cute!
GO MAEMAE!!!!
We had to borrow bikes from the Toy Library, a tricycle and a balance bike. I was so proud of MaeMae for riding the trike even though it was old, squeaky and didn't work really well. She never complained about it and never asked why she didn't have a new bike like the other kids. I was so proud of her. She just got on her little trike and worked that trike around and around. A little ways through the event, though, she was really having a hard time riding the trike so we switched to the balance bike.
And she took off!
I love her intensity here...clearly a trait she got from Ben.
Just hangin' around after a hard morning of exercising!
All the kids got cute medals for participating and also the laminated license. It was a really fun fund-raising event!
