Christmas back home!

We had a fabulous first Christmas back home! We travelled to the beach for a couple days, drove back to our house on Christmas day where mom, dad, sissy and Jennifer joined us. After Christmas we headed to Anderson to see Grandma Jean and Faith Ann. We were so happy to be home and loved being surrounded by all our family!

Ben was determined to make a turducken so we made it at the beach. It's a turkey stuffed with a duck that's stuffed with a cornish hen and with cornbread dressing (we added sausage and shrimp) in between each layer. Mmmm, mmm good!! It was a 2-day process but well worth the wait.

Ben thoroughly enjoyed the carving and extracting of the bones, being the surgeon he is! :)

Fresh-water shrimp from Cameron, SC!

Mixing up the dressing

Let the surgery begin! Ben tied up the birds so they baked together.

Yes, we were quite proud of our project!

Gorgeous!

Yum-o!
